Emotional Support

It is natural to go through a mixture of emotions when living with a cancer diagnosis. These can range from feelings of helplessness, fear, anger, loneliness, depression, denial and even guilt.

Rather than trying to ignore them or push them aside, talking things through with someone can help. This might be a partner, family member or friend. If you find it difficult to share things with those closest to you, there are people you can talk to who are outside your immediate circle of family and friends who will understand your feelings. Many people also find they get emotional support as part of a group whose members are going through similar experiences.
