Losing your hair or noticing changes in your appearance can be a difficult time during treatment for cancer.

Not all treatments lead to hair loss and different treatments have different effects; radiotherapy causes hair loss only where the cancer is treated while chemotherapy drugs can vary in their impact.

If this is a factor of your treatment, there are ways to manage changes in your appearance and lots of advice on how to look after your hair and your skin. You can also get local information on wigs and cold caps and attend sessions on make-up techniques to help you feel more confident about your appearance.
